Living in beautiful eastern Ontario, Susanna McLeod is immersed in history and writing, in paints and canvasses, and books, books, books. As an author, her heartfelt goal is to write articles and books which leave the reader with a happy sigh and wanting to read more.
With each writing, she puts her mind into the time and place of the subjects. She is often saying, “wait, I’m still on the barque” or “I’m still in the oozing mud of Passchendaele.” Her first novel, In a Small Box of Chocolate: An Emmalene Morton Cozy Mystery, took Susanna’s mind to the aromas and sounds of the candy industry at the turn of the 19th century, and the serious competition for Milk Chocolate.
Susanna resides with her husband and they brainstorm often, coming up with gems of ideas and lumps of dusty coal, too. Cheers!
